Former Meriton Property Operations Manager joins the Urmet Group in Australia

Tuesday, 29 August 2017

The Urmet Group in Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of former Meriton Group Property Operations Manager, Will Miranda, to the role of National Sales Manager.

Will joins the Urmet Group in Australia from REIS Corporation where he worked as a development and site manager over the last year, following over 17 years at Meriton. As a prominent member of the Meriton team, Will held various roles during his time with the company – his role evolving from a sales position to Group Property Operations Manager, where he spent his last five years with the company.

Prior to joining Meriton, Will worked in other property development roles and spent some time working as an independent development consultant. Throughout his time in the property and construction industry, Will has worked on some of the largest and most prestigious residential building projects in NSW.

Managing Director of the Urmet Group in Australia, Ari Koutsougeras, said “Will is a very respected figure within the property and construction industry. His understanding of the industry and wealth of experience will assist us in continuing to build relationships among existing and new developers, key stakeholders, and key partners to ensure our offer continues to align with industry needs and requirements.”

“Further to strengthening our business development function, Will’s appointment will benefit the operations side of the business, both in terms of mentoring our operations and sales personnel and in ensuring that our processes and systems are conducive to achieving effective and efficient project delivery,” he adds.

With over 20 years’ experience in sales and construction, Will brings with him demonstrated expertise in business development, customer relationship management, operations, as well as sales, business planning and budgeting, which will no doubt serve him well in his new position. Having also had exposure to designing security system layouts and requirements as part of his previous roles, this new role at Urmet will allow Will to work in the industry from a different angle, pursue an interest in security and home automation, and continue to build on his expertise in this particular area of the sector.

Commenting on his appointment, Will said “Having had the benefit of knowing Ari for many years, working alongside him and the team on a number of projects, we have been able to build a good rapport – I know the business, I am familiar with the security systems and believe in the brand. I welcome the opportunity to join a leading name in the area of residential apartment security and I look forward to helping to take the Group to the next level.”

As a man of many accomplishments beyond his property and construction expertise – Will is able to speak five different languages (English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish), he is a qualified chef, he holds a Diploma in Computer Science and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Business Administration – his appointment is a significant acquisition for the Urmet Group in Australia, and a development which is not only set to shake things up for the Group but the security industry as a whole.

Will joined the Urmet Group in Australia this week and is based in the Group’s Sydney office.
